Eric K. Roberts is a graduate of Auburn University. He majored in Criminology and received a minor in Political Science. While earning his B.A., Mr. Roberts served as Vice-President of The Environmental Awareness Organization.
Mr. Roberts received his law degree with honors from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he served as the President and Founder of The Civil Rights Law Student Association. He was on the Managing Board of the Alabama Law & Psychology Review. Additionally, Mr. Roberts was selected as a member of the University of Alabama’s National Trial Team and received numerous awards and honors for advocacy including: The International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for distinguished Achievement in the Art and Science of Advocacy: The American Judicature Society Award: and the George Peach Taylor Award (twice).
Mr. Roberts has also received the American Bar Association and The Bureau of National Affairs’ Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.
Upon graduation, he was awarded the Order of the Samaritan, the Justice Janie L. Shores Award, The Wythe W. Holt Civil Rights Award, The Dean’s Community Service Award, and the Alabama State Bar’s Volunteer Lawyers Program Student Award for his contribution within the community.
Mr. Roberts has reigned as King Elexis I of the Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association and has also been featured in Ebony Magazine as one of the Most Eligible Bachelors.
Mr. Roberts is humbled to have been invited into multiple organizations. Mr Roberts was selected by America's Top 100 Attorneys, American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys Top 10 Attorneys, Best Attorneys of America, Black Business Owners: Best Law Firm, and the National Black Lawyers - Top 100, and he has been invited in The National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He has also received the Client Champion Platinum Award by Martindale-Hubbell. Despite these accomplishments, Mr. Roberts' goal is to continue to fight for the rights of others.
Additionally, he has served on numerous boards in the Mobile community, and he is currently a member of the 100 Black Men of Mobile and the Mobile Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.
Mr. Roberts has practiced law in the Mobile area for almost 20 years. He has handled cases against individuals, small businesses and large corporations.
